strawberry heart meringues using Whipzi™ strawberry flavor powdered sugar and Whipzi™ vanilla flavor powdered sugar for an easy meringue kisses and meringue hearts recipe

STRAWBERRY AND VANILLA FLAVOR MERINGUE KISSES

We used our Whipzi™ strawberry and Whipzi™ vanilla flavor powdered sugar to make these quick and easy Valentines Day Treats. These meringues are so quick and easy to make and best of all, they are gluten-free and a perfect way to satisfy any sweet tooth. Spread the love and share with friends (or not! and eat them all yourself)

INGREDIENTS:

Meringues are super easy to make and adjust your ratios depending on if you want a small batch or larger.  Just double the amount of sugar to your egg whites. For a small batch of meringues (about 50 bite size cookies) we used two egg whites (around 50g of egg whites, and 100g of powdered sugar)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 170 degrees F. (Low and slow is the best for baking meringues)

In a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, add your egg whites and beat slowly for several minutes until they start to become foamy. Increase to medium speed until egg whites have turned whiter in color and you can start to see tracks from the whisk in your egg whites. Slowly add your Whipzi™ powdered sugar, 1 spoonful at a time. Once you have added all your sugar, increase speed to high and mix for about 5 minutes, or soft peaks have formed with your meringue. Add your meringue to a piping bag with any decorating tip you prefer and pipe onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 1 1/2 hours then turn off oven and leave meringues in the oven for the next couple hours. Meringues are done when you can take them off the parchment paper without them sticking to the paper. If you find they are chewy, bake at 200 degrees for 15 minute and that should take away any chewiness.

And that's it!
Because our powdered sugar already has the flavor built in there is no need to add additional flavors!
